Setup takes about 5 minutes. Lead sync and AI booking are separate features. This article covers connecting the integration and syncing leads. For AI booking setup, see [How to set up JobNimbus AI booking in LeadTruffle](https://help.leadtruffle.co/en/article/how-to-set-up-jobnimbus-ai-booking-in-leadtruffle/). --- ## Before you begin * An active **JobNimbus** account with admin access (or a role that can manage integrations and API keys) * An active **LeadTruffle** account | Keep both tabs open — you'll create the API key in JobNimbus and paste it into LeadTruffle in one go. --- ## Step 1: Create your JobNimbus API key | For full details on API keys in JobNimbus, see [How Do I Create an API Key?](https://support.jobnimbus.com/how-do-i-create-an-api-key) in the JobNimbus help center. 1. Log into **JobNimbus**. 2. Click your **profile icon or initials** in the top right corner and select **Settings**. 3. In the left sidebar under **Integrations**, open the **API** tab. 4. Click the blue **New API Key** button in the top right corner. 5. Under the **Description** column, open the drop-down and type **LeadTruffle** as the source. LeadTruffle isn't in the preset list — type it in and it will be added to your account. 6. Assign an **Access Profile** to the key. This controls what the key is allowed to do — choose a profile with permission to read and create contacts and jobs. Copy the string of characters that appears under the **Key** column — you'll need it in the next step. || Treat your API key like a password. Anyone with the key can access your JobNimbus data through the API. --- ## Step 2: Connect JobNimbus to LeadTruffle 1. Log into your **LeadTruffle** dashboard. 2. Keep **Enable integration immediately** on if you're ready to start syncing. 5. You can confirm the key is working using the **Test Connection** button in the panel. --- ## Step 3: Configure lead sync settings 1. **Require name and contact method before sync** - When enabled, a lead won't sync to JobNimbus unless it has a usable name and at least one contact method (email or phone). Recommended for keeping your CRM clean. 2. **Automatically create a job when a lead syncs** - When enabled, LeadTruffle also creates a JobNimbus Job alongside the Contact. Requires a **Job Workflow Name** and **Job Status Name** — [see Optional job mapping below](#2-optional-job-mapping). ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/d/c/4/1/dc41d3f6726e4000/image_1hp8v3c.png =750x523) When matching a lead to an existing JobNimbus contact, LeadTruffle checks in this order: 1. Email 2. Phone 3. Exact first and last name 4. Creates a new contact if no match is found --- ## Optional Contact Mapping These fields control how LeadTruffle labels the contact it creates or updates in JobNimbus. Leave them blank unless you have specific workflows, statuses, or lead sources you want used. ||| These values must match **exactly** what exists in your JobNimbus account — including capitalization and spacing. A mismatch will cause the sync to fail. ### 1. Contact workflow name The JobNimbus contact workflow (record type) to place the synced contact into. * Example: `Contact` * Find the exact name in JobNimbus under **Settings → Workflows → Contacts** ### 2. Contact status name The JobNimbus status to assign to the contact when LeadTruffle syncs it. Must be a status that exists inside the selected contact workflow — a valid status from a different workflow will still cause a failure. * Example: `Lead` or `New Lead` * Find the exact name in JobNimbus under your Contact workflow's status list ### 3. Lead source name The source label LeadTruffle should send to JobNimbus so you can see where the lead came from. * Example: `LeadTruffle` * Must match a configured lead source name in JobNimbus. Hidden lead sources can also cause issues — JobNimbus prevents new contacts from being associated with hidden sources. * Find or create lead sources in JobNimbus under **Settings → Lead Sources** ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/d/c/4/1/dc41d3f6726e4000/image_1jspfz5.png =750x503) --- ## Optional Job Mapping These fields are required if you want LeadTruffle to automatically create JobNimbus Jobs, or if you plan to use AI booking with Tasks tied to Jobs rather than Contacts. ||| These values must match **exactly** what exists in your JobNimbus account. A mismatch will cause job creation and any related booking Tasks to fail. ### 1. Job workflow name The JobNimbus job workflow (record type) to use when LeadTruffle creates a Job. * Example: `Job` * Find the exact name in JobNimbus under **Settings → Workflows → Jobs** ### 2. Job status name The starting status for Jobs created by LeadTruffle. Must be a status inside the selected Job workflow. * Example: `Lead` or `New` * Find the exact name in JobNimbus under your Job workflow's status list ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/d/c/4/1/dc41d3f6726e4000/image_tu1lfc.png =750x395) --- ## What data gets synced | Category | What syncs | | ---- | | Customer profile | Full name, email, phone, service address | | Service details | Service type, problem description, urgency, preferred timing | | Qualification details | Full AI conversation transcript, budget range, notes | | Marketing attribution | UTM parameters, source URL, landing page, date and time of contact | --- ## Verify the integration After connecting, test it end to end: 1. Submit a lead through your LeadTruffle widget or voice/text agent. 2. The lead should appear in JobNimbus within seconds as a new contact, fully populated and ready to work. You can also use the **Test Sync** tool in the JobNimbus panel to run the sync path manually against a recent lead without waiting for a new submission. --- ## Troubleshooting **Leads aren't syncing** * Confirm the API key was copied in full with no extra spaces. * Confirm the Access Profile assigned to the key can create contacts and jobs. * Check that **Enable integration immediately** is on and the integration hasn't been manually disabled. * If **Require name and contact method before sync** is on, confirm the lead has a name and at least an email or phone. **Sync fails after adding contact or job mapping fields** * These values must match your JobNimbus account exactly — including capitalization and spacing. Pull the exact names directly from JobNimbus settings rather than typing from memory. * Confirm the Contact Status Name is a status inside the Contact Workflow you specified, not a different workflow. * Confirm the Lead Source Name is not hidden in JobNimbus. **You regenerated or deleted your JobNimbus API key** * The existing connection will stop working.
