## What you'll need

* Admin access to your Workiz account (or someone who can turn on the Account Settings permission for you)
* Admin access to your LeadTruffle account

Connecting Workiz takes two credentials: an **API Token** and an **API Secret**. You'll generate both in Workiz, then paste them into LeadTruffle.

## Step 1: Enable the Developer API add-on in Workiz

Before you can generate credentials, you need to turn on the Developer API add-on in Workiz.

1. From the Workiz navigation bar, select the **Feature Center**.
2. Select **Developer API**.
3. Select **Get started** to enable the add-on.

|| Not seeing the Feature Center? You may not have the right permissions. Ask your account admin to turn on the **Account Settings** permission for your user type from the [Roles & Permissions page](https://app.workiz.com/root/roles).

## Step 2: Get your Workiz API credentials

1. From the Workiz navigation bar, select the **profile icon → Settings**.
2. Under **Integrations**, select **Developer**.
3. Copy your **API Token** and **API Secret** using the copy icon next to each.

Your API Token will look something like this:

`api_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx`

| Keep your API Secret private. Treat it like a password — anyone with both credentials can access your Workiz account through the API.

|| Not seeing the Developer settings page? As in Step 1, this usually means a permissions issue. Have your admin enable the **Account Settings** permission from the [Roles & Permissions page](https://app.workiz.com/root/roles).

## Step 3: Add your credentials to LeadTruffle

1. In LeadTruffle, open the **Workiz** integration settings.
2. Paste your Workiz **API Token** into the **API Token** field.
3. Paste your Workiz **API Secret** into the **API Secret** field.
4. Enable the integration.

That's it — LeadTruffle is now connected to your Workiz account.

## What's next

With Workiz connected, you can:

* **Sync leads** into Workiz automatically
* **Let your AI book scheduled Workiz jobs** — see [How to set up Workiz AI booking in LeadTruffle](https://help.leadtruffle.co/en/article/REPLACE_WITH_AI_BOOKING_SLUG/)

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to check |
| ---- |
| Can't find Feature Center or Developer settings | You're likely missing the **Account Settings** permission — ask your admin to enable it |
| Connection fails in LeadTruffle | Re-copy both credentials directly from Workiz; a missing character or extra space will cause it to fail |
| Credentials work then stop | If the API Token was regenerated in Workiz, paste the new values into LeadTruffle |
