How to Set Up Call Forwarding in OpenPhone (Quo)
Overview
If you’re using OpenPhone (now Quo) for your business line, you can forward calls directly to your LeadTruffle AI Voice number.
This setup ensures your AI answers calls when:
- You’re busy or unavailable
- Calls come in after hours
- Your team doesn’t pick up within a set time
We recommend conditional call forwarding—it only triggers when needed (instead of forwarding every call immediately). This allows your AI to work as a 24/7 backup while keeping your normal workflow intact.

Before You Start
You’ll need:
- An active LeadTruffle Pro or Expert Plan (with AI Voice enabled)
- Your LeadTruffle phone number (found under Missed Calls in your LeadTruffle dashboard)
- Admin access to your OpenPhone (Quo) account
Step 1 – Get Your LeadTruffle Phone Number
- Log into app.leadtruffle.com
- Go to AI Voice Answering
- Copy your LeadTruffle phone number (this is where OpenPhone will forward calls).
Step 2 – Log Into OpenPhone (Quo)
- Go to OpenPhone dashboard
- Navigate to Settings → Call Flows.
- Choose the number you want to forward calls from.
Step 3 – Set Up Conditional Call Forwarding
We recommend setting up conditional forwarding so calls only go to LeadTruffle when unanswered or after hours.
Option A – After-Hours Forwarding
- In the Call Flow Builder, drag a Business Hours step after Incoming Call.
- Set your open and closed hours.
- Under After Hours, drag in a Forward Call step.
- Paste your LeadTruffle number as the forwarding destination.
- Save your flow and click Enable this call flow.
Option B – No-Answer / Overflow Forwarding
- Under During Hours, add a Ring Users step (your normal team).
- After this step, drag in a Forward Call step.
- Paste your LeadTruffle number.
- Save and publish the flow.
Now, if your team doesn’t pick up, the call will route to LeadTruffle where your AI Voice takes over.
Step 4 – Test the Forwarding
- Call your OpenPhone number from another phone.
- Let it ring through without answering.
- Verify the call forwards to LeadTruffle and triggers an AI Voice or text conversation.
- Check the conversation in your LeadTruffle dashboard under Conversations.
Step 5 – Fine-Tune Your AI Voice
- Go to AI Voice Answering in LeadTruffle.
- Review or update your AI Voice script to ensure it asks the right questions (e.g., service type, scheduling).
- Test and adjust as needed.
Troubleshooting
