Overview
To ensure LeadTruffle can capture and qualify every lead via AI voice answering, set up call forwarding from your Spectrum Mobile number to your LeadTruffle-assigned number.
There are two forwarding types:
- Unconditional (all calls): forwards every call immediately (won't ring your phone first)
- Conditional (busy/missed): forwards only unanswered or busy-line calls (recommended)
Conditional call forwarding (missed calls only — recommended)
Use when you want your phone to ring first; if you don't answer or the line is busy, the call forwards to LeadTruffle for instant follow-up.
Option A — Via your Spectrum account or My Spectrum App
- Log in to your Spectrum account or open the My Spectrum App
- Under Your Services, select Mobile
- Select the mobile line you want to forward calls from
- Select Call Forwarding
- Complete the One Time Passcode verification
- Select Busy Line & Missed Calls
- Enter your LeadTruffle number in one or both fields
- Select Save
Option B — Using star codes
- Open the Phone app on your device
- Dial *71 followed by your LeadTruffle number (e.g., *71-303-123-5555)
- Tap Call and wait for a confirmation tone and message
- End the call
Test it: Call your Spectrum number from another phone and let it ring — it should forward to LeadTruffle after a few rings.
Unconditional call forwarding (all calls → LeadTruffle)
Use when you want every inbound call to go straight to LeadTruffle without ringing your phone.
Option A — Via your Spectrum account or My Spectrum App
- Log in to your Spectrum account or open the My Spectrum App
- Under Your Services, select Mobile
- Select the mobile line you want to forward calls from
- Select Call Forwarding
- Complete the One Time Passcode verification
- Select All Incoming Calls
- Enter your LeadTruffle number
- Select Save
Option B — Using star codes
- Open the Phone app on your device
- Dial *72 followed by your LeadTruffle number (e.g., *72-303-123-5555)
- Tap Call and wait for a confirmation tone and message
- End the call
Test it: From another phone, call your Spectrum number — it should connect directly to LeadTruffle (no ringing on your device).
Turn off call forwarding
Via your Spectrum account or My Spectrum App
- Under Your Services, select Mobile
- Select the mobile line you want to stop forwarding
- Go to Call Forwarding
- Enter the One Time Passcode
- Select OFF
- Select Save
Using star codes
- On your device, dial *73
- Tap Call and wait for the confirmation tone
- End the call
Important information
- Calls can only be forwarded to domestic 10-digit numbers (including toll-free) — not international numbers
- If call forwarding is enabled, unanswered calls won't go to your mobile voicemail
- Call forwarding doesn't affect text messages — they still come through normally
- If you're having trouble receiving calls, double-check that the correct LeadTruffle number was entered
Best practices
- Forwarded calls may override access to your voicemail while active
- If you change your LeadTruffle number later, turn off forwarding first (*73), then re-enable with the new number
- Always run a test call after setup to confirm calls reach LeadTruffle
- Keep a quick rollback handy:
- All calls off: *73 or toggle OFF in your Spectrum account
- Conditional off: *73
