How to use the Contacts Board and Table view in LeadTruffle
📝 Navigate the contacts table and board, filter your contacts, customize card layouts, and manage your contact statuses all in one place.
Table of contents
Overview
The Contacts tab gives you two ways to view and manage all your contacts: a table view for a spreadsheet-style overview, and a board view for a visual, drag-and-drop pipeline. Both views share the same filters and status settings.
Table view
The table view gives you a top-down look at all your contacts in one place. Each row shows:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Source (where the contact came from — Yelp, Google LSA, etc.)
- Channels (how you're communicating with them)
- Status

From any row you can open contact details, jump directly to the inbox, or take additional actions.
Filtering
Use the filters at the top to narrow your view by source, status, communication channel, or date range. For example, filter to just your Yelp contacts, or show only leads with a specific status.
Customizing columns
You can change which columns are visible and set a default column — for example, if you always want to see who a contact is assigned to when you load the table, set that as your default.
Collapsing the sidebar
Hit the sidebar toggle to collapse the left nav and give yourself more horizontal room in the table.
Board view
The board view shows each contact as a card in a status column — similar to a Kanban board. It's designed for workflow: you can drag contacts from one column to the next to update their status as they move through your pipeline.
Columns match your contact statuses (New, Contacted, Quoted, Won, Lost, Nurturing, and any custom statuses you've set up).
The same filters available in table view work here too.

Setting your default view
If you prefer one view over the other, click the gear icon in the top left and set either table view or board view as your default. LeadTruffle will open to that view every time you click Contacts in the sidebar.

Configuring board cards
You can control exactly what information appears on each card in the board view. Click the gear icon and look for board configuration options. You can show or hide:
- AI data collection status
- Notes count
- Lead source
- Contact info
- Human takeover indicator
- And more

Compact view is also available — it strips cards down to just name, phone number, and source for a cleaner, higher-density view.
To show or hide archived contacts on the board, toggle the Show archived contacts option. Archived contacts are hidden by default.
Managing contact statuses
You can create, edit, rename, recolor, and archive your contact statuses from either view.
To get there: go to Actions → Edit contact statuses, or navigate directly to app.leadtruffle.com/contact/statuses

Status categories
Every status belongs to one of three categories:
- Active — contacts you're still working; you haven't won or lost them yet
- Won — you got the job, booked the appointment, they're on the calendar
- Lost — didn't get the job; wrong fit, went quiet, etc.

Editing statuses
You can rename any status, change its color, and update its description. The only status you cannot change is New — every contact enters LeadTruffle as New by default, and that's hardcoded across the system.
Archiving statuses
If you no longer want to use a status, archive it. Archiving hides it going forward but won't remove it from contacts already assigned to it — those contacts keep their current status.
The contacts assigned label on each status tells you at a glance whether any contacts are currently using it. If it shows zero, the status is safe to archive without affecting anything.
