Overview

Call forwarding automatically redirects incoming calls to a different phone number when you can't answer. This is useful if you want calls to roll over to a team member, a second phone, or a voicemail service.

When call forwarding is active, a call forwarding icon will appear in your notification bar at the top of the screen.

These steps are based on Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 15. The exact menu names may vary slightly depending on your phone model and Android version, but the overall flow is the same.

Access call forwarding settings

  1. Open the Phone app from your home screen.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner, then tap Settings.

  1. Scroll down and tap Supplementary services.

  1. Tap Call forwarding.

Turn on call forwarding

  1. From the Call forwarding screen, tap Always forward.
  2. Enter the phone number you want calls forwarded to.
  3. Tap Turn on.

Your calls will now be redirected to that number automatically.

To update the forwarding number while call forwarding is already active, go back to the Always forward screen, edit the phone number, and tap Update.

Turn off call forwarding

  1. From the Call forwarding screen, tap Always forward.
  2. Tap Turn off.

Call forwarding is now disabled and calls will ring your phone as normal.
