How the Jobber and LeadTruffle integration works

How the Jobber and LeadTruffle integration works

📝 Connect Jobber to LeadTruffle so qualified leads from your website and missed calls log automatically as Jobber clients.

Overview

LeadTruffle's AI texting and voice platform captures and qualifies leads from your website and missed calls, then automatically logs them as clients in your Jobber account.

You can connect the two platforms in either of these two ways.

Option 1: Connect via Jobber App Marketplace

  1. Log in to your Jobber account.
  2. Go to the App Marketplace and find the LeadTruffle app listing.
  3. Click the Connect button.
  4. You'll be redirected to LeadTruffle's site.
  5. Sign in or create your LeadTruffle account.
  6. Approve the integration to enable syncing.
  7. Optionally, test the sync to send your most recent lead to Jobber and verify it appears in your clients list.

Option 2: Connect via LeadTruffle dashboard

  1. Log in to your LeadTruffle account at app.leadtruffle.com.
  2. Navigate to External Integrations, or go directly to LeadTruffle External Integrations.
  3. Click Connect Jobber.
  4. Log in to your Jobber account when prompted.
  5. Approve the connection.
  6. Your LeadTruffle leads will now sync automatically to Jobber.

How the integration works

  • Your website visitors and missed calls are captured through LeadTruffle's AI-powered texting widget and missed call follow-ups.
  • The AI engages leads instantly, qualifies them, and moves them through your sales funnel.
  • Qualified leads are automatically logged in Jobber as new clients — no manual entry required.

What you need

  1. An active Jobber account (Core plan or higher).
  2. A LeadTruffle account (start your 14-day free trial at app.leadtruffle.com if you don't have one).

Keep temporary marketplace contact info out of Jobber

Leads from marketplaces like Thumbtack, Yelp, and Google Local Services Ads often arrive with temporary contact info — a proxy phone number or a relay email address (for example, a Yelp forwarding email or a @awexpress.google.com Google LSA address). If that temporary info syncs to Jobber, you end up with a client record you can't actually call or email.

The Don't sync masked data from third-party lead sources setting fixes this. When it's on, LeadTruffle strips known temporary phone numbers and relay email addresses before creating the Jobber client.

This setting only affects the info sent to Jobber. It does not delete the original marketplace data in LeadTruffle, and it does not stop you from replying to the lead through Yelp, Thumbtack, or Google LSA.

How to turn it on

  1. Open Integrations.
  2. Find your Jobber integration and open its Settings modal.
  3. Check Don't sync masked data from third-party lead sources. It sits with the other data-sync settings, below your connection details.
  4. Save if the modal has a Save button. Some connected CRMs save the checkbox immediately and show a success toast.
  5. Close and reopen the settings to confirm the box stayed checked.

Turning this on for Jobber does not turn it on for any other CRM. If you also send leads to Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or another platform, enable the setting on each one separately.

What happens to a lead when the setting is on

  • LeadTruffle finds the best real phone and email available.
  • Known temporary or relay values are removed from the Jobber contact data and notes.
  • If a real phone or email remains, the sync proceeds without the masked value.
  • If removing the temporary value leaves no usable contact method, LeadTruffle holds the sync instead of sending unusable data. This shows in your logs as a skipped action — not a failure.

Angi note: Angi changed its contact-data policy in January, so LeadTruffle now treats Angi phone and email values as real, even though an older Angi field is still named maskedNumber.

Strict Jobber sync requirements

When Require required Jobber details before creating requests is enabled, LeadTruffle only syncs a lead to Jobber once it has the core data needed to create a useful Jobber request:

  • First name
  • A full last name (more than one character)
  • A real, non-relay phone or email
  • Service or property address
  • Service details or reason for contacting

The lead no longer needs to be fully qualification-completed. If the AI is still asking follow-up questions but LeadTruffle already has the required Jobber data, the lead will still sync.

Example: Lauren T with a Yelp forwarding email is held until more is known. Lauren Carson with her real email, address, and service details will sync to Jobber.

Choosing the right combination of settings

The masked-data setting and strict requirements solve different problems and can be used together. Here are the three common setups:

Setup

Masked-data setting

Strict requirements

Result

Remove bad contact info

On

Off

Temporary phone/email is stripped. The lead still syncs if a real phone or email remains; held only if both become unusable.

Wait for a complete record

On

On

Jobber waits until the lead has a first name, full last name, real email, address, and service details before creating the request.

Keep legacy behavior

Off

Either

Preserves your previous masked-contact behavior. If strict requirements are on, the older strict rules stay in effect.

Existing Jobber integrations are not switched on automatically — the masked-data setting behaves as off until you enable it. Brand-new integrations default it to on. Reconnecting Jobber does not change your existing choice.

Understanding LeadTruffle tracking on your website and how it syncs to Jobber

Where LeadTruffle shines is on your website — and it's easy to miss just how powerful the tracking and lead qualification tools are if you're only looking in Jobber.
Here's what you need to know.

Full tracking on every website submission

LeadTruffle captures detailed lead data when someone submits through:

  • The Chat Widget
  • The Pop-up Widget
  • The Lead Form

This data includes:

  • UTM parameters
  • Click IDs (from Google, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
  • Lead source channel
  • Full conversation context

This goes far beyond what tools like Jobber's request form provide, which may only ask, "How did you hear about us?"

Where this info appears in Jobber

When a lead is passed from LeadTruffle to Jobber, all this valuable data is sent as a note attached to the request.
So if your team is only looking at the form fields in Jobber, they might miss it. To view it:

  • Open the Request in Jobber
  • Scroll down to the Notes section
  • You'll see a full tracking summary and lead details there

Checking what synced to Jobber

If a lead didn't appear in Jobber the way you expected, you can see exactly what happened in your logs.

  1. Open Logs in your LeadTruffle dashboard, or click View logs on the Jobber integration card.
  2. Filter to Jobber and the approximate time.
  3. Search the loaded page by contact name, email, phone, or lead inquiry ID.
  4. Check the status of the record:
  • Success — the lead synced and Jobber returned the client/request.
  • Skipped — LeadTruffle intentionally held the sync (for example, removing masked contact info left no usable phone or email, or strict requirements weren't met yet). This is a safety decision, not an error.
  • Failure — a connection, credential, or provider problem occurred.
  1. Open Details to see the related contact, lead inquiry, source, and any error.

A skipped lead usually just means LeadTruffle is waiting on a real phone, email, or required detail. Once that info is collected, the lead can become eligible to sync.
